Christmas 2 and Epiphany

There will be a service of Morning Prayer in church on Sunday 3 January at 10.30am, with hymns, a psalm and a sermon. The drive is passable but the car park slippy – so be careful! The heating has been put on in the faith that we shall all be there in the morning.

Wednesday 6th January: 5.15pm – Eucharist for the Feast of the Epiphany. (Revd Canon Hugh Lee)

New Year’s Day

Prayer was offered in church at 11am today.

On a practical note, the drive is passable on foot or by car, though the last bit into the car park is trying if you’re on foot. There is a river of ice across the main road just before you cross the bridge coming up from the town – don’t rush round the corner!

Update tomorrow if there’s more news.

All is clear, all is bright …

…Or at least the church driveway is! Thanks to the herculean efforts of a few congregational members and some angels in yellow waistcoats (see blethers) the church will be accessible for Midnight Eucharist this evening, with music from 11.15pm. Whether you drive or walk, you should make it to the top of the hill. All welcome!
