About

Welcome to Holy Trinity Church.

We are a congregation of the Scottish Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Argyll and the Isles.

Most Sundays we celebrate the eucharist, using either the 1982 Scottish Liturgy or the 1970 Scottish Liturgy. On the second and fifth Sundays of each month, worship is led by the lay team, and there is Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.

You will be welcome here whatever your circumstances, and however secure or tentative your faith.

Holy Trinity is part of the Anglican Communion, in the same family of churches as the Church of England, the Church in Wales, the Church of Ireland, and The Episcopal Church in the United States. We are also in communion with the Scandinavian Lutheran churches and the Old Catholic churches.

You can contact the Revd Andrew Swift here or by phone on 01369 702444

Or find us on a map here.

Dear Friends: I am trying to contact a cousin with whom I have lost touch. Her name is Ann Narraway. When last I visited many years ago, she showed me her church, and the lovely needlepoint cushions.

I am a priest in the American Episcopal Church.

If you can give me any information on contacting her, I would be very grateful. Or, you can give her my email address. Also, here is all my information:

    The Rev. Brian McHugh
    orrock1946@comcast.net
    519 W. Tayor St., SPC 334
    Santa Maria CA 93458
    Tel home: 805.922.6290
    Cell: 520.705.5678.

THanks so much for any help!

Dear Brian, I will pass your details on to Ann. She is not on email, I’m afraid but I’m sure she’ll be happy to make contact.

Alexander Guinness, who was Rector of Holy Trinity in the ’90s, is now Rector of St Andrew’s, Fort William. I cannot recall the names of his parents, but you could contact him through the church in FW.

I fondly remember visits to HT back in the 1980s. On the first visit, the rector invited me to an evening gathering at the rectory, which was a delight. On a later visit, an Easter Sunday, it had snowed during the night and I managed to block the driveway with my rental. The gentleman in the next car stopped and helped me back onto the straight and narrow – it was the Bishop. He was doing the Easter service as he’d transferred the rector to Oban! I remember the organist playing with gloves, and became friendly with her family (Kundu?). Happy memories..
