Eternal God, who made this most holy night
to shine with the brightness of your one true light:
bring us, who have known the revelation
of that light on earth,
to see the radiance of your heavenly glory;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

who chose the Virgin Mary, full of grace,
to be the mother of our Lord and Saviour:
now fill us with your grace,
that we in all things may embrace your will
and with her rejoice in your salvation;

Monday, 17 December — Sacred Space is cancelled this week because of a funeral.

Tuesday, 18 December –  Funeral in church at noon.

Sunday,  23 December — Advent 4.  10.30 am eucharist.

Monday, 24 December — church cleaning and decorating late morning - mid afternoon

Christmas Eve — 11.30 pm Solemn Eucharist (1982, incense).

Christmas Day — 10.30 am Eucharist (1982).

God of power and mercy,
you call us once again to celebrate the coming of your Son.
Remove those things which hinder love of you,
that when he comes he may find us waiting
in awe and wonder for him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Saturday, 1 December — Annual General Meeting.  10 am at the back of the church.

Sunday, 2 December — 1st Sunday of Advent.  10.30 am eucharist (1982 liturgy).

Almighty and everlasting God,
whose will it is to restore all things in your
well-beloved Son, our Lord and King:
grant that the peoples of the earth,
now divided and enslaved by sin,
may be freed and brought together
under his gentle and loving rule;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

Sunday, 11 November — 10.30 am Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.   There will be an act of Remembrance at 11 am.

Friday, 16 November — 11 am Lay Team training at the rectory.

God our refuge and our strength
bring near the day when wars shall cease
and poverty and pain shall end
that earth shall know the peace of heaven
